Semolina —the coarse, purified wheat middling of durum wheat— is used in a wide variety of foods from pastas to cereals to puddings... to sweet pounds cakes. 

Revani is such a cake; it is whipped together, baked and then soaked in an aromatic syrup to yield a light and fluffy dessert.
